WebTerrier is excited to announce the launch of an enhanced company selection feature, designed to streamline the process of associating companies such as landlords, tenants, or managing agents with records in the system.
Historically, our platform emphasized guiding users to search for existing companies before adding new ones, aiming to maintain a clean dataset by minimizing duplicates and reducing potential spelling errors. However, feedback indicated that this approach involved multiple screens and clicks, making the process less efficient than desired.
In response, we've developed a more intuitive solution: a single text box with autocomplete functionality. As users begin typing a company name, the system presents up to five matching suggestions, complete with company logos for easy identification when available. If the desired company appears in the suggestions, users can select it immediately.


If not, they can continue typing the full company name, and upon saving, a new company record is automatically created in the background. This enhancement not only simplifies the user experience but also aligns with best practices in autocomplete design, ensuring a more efficient and user-friendly interaction.

This update reflects our commitment to improving user experience and data integrity, making the process of managing company records more efficient for all users.
